Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Detail Engineering including Load List, Instrument List, PLC IO List, Control Philosophy, design calculations, optimization, sizing & selection of Electricals, instruments/control devices (and related accessories) etc. for Customer Specification (as required) and for Projects.
  • Instrumental definition of major equipment to be used in the Steel, Power, Cement/Minerals, Paints and Petrochemicals plants (e.g. Pneumatic Conveying systems, Air Pollution controls, Bag Filters/House, Grinding, etc.) with the definition of detailed Electrical Motor, Transformer, MCC , PCC, VFD , UPS, PLC etc.… instrumental datasheets, technical specifications and hook-up/installation drawings.
  • Control definition of major equipment to be used in the water treatment plants (e.g. Pneumatic Conveying systems, Air Pollution control, Bag Filters/House, Grinding, etc.) with the definition of detailed logic diagrams.
  • Review of Clients tender documents, specifications, datasheets, verification of design & calculations.
  • Preparation and/or supervision of various engineering deliverables (Drawings & Documents) providing necessary engineering inputs to the other disciplines and other departments.
  • To ensure proper division of work & responsibility among the engineers, providing proper guidance & integration of work done, ensuring good, positive & healthy working nature among the team of engineers to ensure optimum productivity & efficiency.
  • Preparation & Issue of RFQ’s, evaluation of vendor’s quotations, clarifications, Technical Bid Analysis etc. for all the required process aspects.
  • Knowledge of PFD’s, Design of Process and Instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s). Prepare/Review detailed field instruments and PLC I/O lists from the P&IDs
  • Bill of Material and technical data and SAP System Entry.
  • Site Visits & customer meeting for Project technical requirement. Provides Field engineering support as required.
  • Final panel inspection activities (FAT), co-ordination with third party and client for inspections, preparation of inspection reports, compliance report and providing dispatch clearance to panel activities.
  • Should be conversant with networked instruments over Foundation Field bus, Modbus, Profibus etc.
Required Skills:
Technical :
  • Minimum 10 –15 Year of Relevant experience in detailed engineering for Control and Instrumentation discipline for Pneumatic Conveying Systems, Air Pollution Control, Grinding Solutions, and implementation of projects in multiple industry verticals from food and spices, pharma and chemicals, paints, oil and gas, steel, power and renewables (at least 2-3 of them) and understands the decision factors and concerns of different industries.
  • Knowledge of Instruments required for measurement of pressure, level, temperature, moisture, flow etc.
  • Auto Cad / E-Plan for development of P&ID, layout, Hook up drawings, terminal drawings, GA of junction boxes etc.
  • Knowledge of PLC / HMI / SCADA / VFD’s / Switchgears
  • Handson-on experience on SAP / ERP will be desirable.
  • Knowledge of CE/ATEX Compliances
